Rep. Gregg Harper, R-MS: In October of 2009 Representative Harper wrote a letter to Secretary LaHood expressing his strong support for the East Mississippi Intermodal Rail Corridor. The $5.25 billion project aims to improve shipping to the state, and, according to Harper’s letter, is “vital to delivering increased economic development and job creation opportunities.”
